"Gerade mal 30 Jahre alt, aber bereits seit über 15 Jahren treffen wir uns im Weinkosmos immer wieder. Selten sehe ich Menschen mit einem so starken und fokussierten Ansatz Änderungen herbeizuführen und Visionen wahr werden zu lassen. Mut und Optimismus strahlte Lukas Schmidt schon immer aus, nun kommt die ernsthafte Komponente mit dem Willen der Veränderung dazu. Spürbar auch in seinen Weinen, klar auf das definierte Marktsegment ausgerichtet, eben überbordende üppige Nasenweine, die es schwer machen zu widerstehen. The grapes for the Second Flight wines are picked by hand, processed very gently and fermented cool. Wines are created here that are truly seductive - here you don't think twice about opening the second bottle after the first. We like fruit – stimulating, juicy and never filling.

Great top wines from Bullenheimer Paradies – my home. With a lot of power, energy and passion, we do our best every day to be able to harvest highly aromatic, fully ripe and one hundred percent healthy grapes in autumn. I am incredibly grateful that nature gives us grapes every year and I therefore think it is extremely important to pay attention - so that the next 11 generations also have the opportunity to grow wine in our paradise. A location with deep gypsum keuper soils that provides plenty of space for the vine's roots. The location has always stood for its great potential and harmony with the Scheurebe. It is precisely because of the special soil formation and the unique microclimate in the southern Steigerwald that we can bring particularly spicy, fruity and deep nose wines into the glass. My First Flight wines are wines that you can think about - about yourself, your life and God & the world.
