On the last weekend in January, an extraordinary highlight was presented as part of the renowned Kitz & Business event, which took place during the Hahnenkamm weekend in Kitzbühel: Together with the German Ski Association and the Premium Leaders Club, the only 3.0-liter double magnum bottle of the DSV World Cup Silvaner by LUKAS SCHMIDT ever produced was auctioned .
This exclusive wine, which embodies the values of precision, passion, and excellence, achieved an impressive €5,500 after a long and exciting auction. The entire proceeds will go to the German Ski Promotion Association to support young visionaries —a strong statement of support for Germany's future ski elite.
In the history of Franconian wine, this would be the highest price ever paid for a bottle of Franconian wine.
The World Cup wine symbolizes great visions and the conviction that we can achieve anything in life. With a special focus on quality, only grapes from very old vines, whose roots reach deep into the rock layers, are used. A yield reduction of more than 50% enables the production of grapes with an exceptional concentration of flavor and minerals, which give the wine its distinctive character. Thus, this exceptional Silvaner has an aging potential of well over 10 years.
