Craziness! Wine has been made here at the Bullenheim winery for 11 generations, and it is a great honor for Lukas Schmidt to continue this legacy. Today I am allowed to harvest grapes from vines that my grandfather Werner planted with his hands more than 50 years ago. Growing up with wine in your blood is something very special.
LUKAS SCHMIDT stands for complex, fruity and spicy nose wines. We play this aroma profile above all with our beloved Scheurebe. The queen of white wines has been with us for decades. How we are allowed to deal with aromatic grape varieties has been passed on from generation to generation on our estate. Today we are a family winery specializing in nasal wines that is deeply rooted in its values and is always on the lookout for new innovations and ideas. It never gets boring with us - we promise!
I am convinced that wine has to be great and uncomplicated at the same time. Again and again I come across situations where I notice that in the wine industry we often communicate past our customers. We use words that not everyone understands. My vision as a young winemaker is to be the perfect setting for events with my wines, where we humans can just laugh together and forget everyday life. That's why it's so important to me to pick people up where they are today. Very simple, uncomplicated - with great nose wines.

Summer, sun, beach, sea, pool & terrace. Aroma is at home here, the Second Flight wines are wines that speak. Crying to go play with. The grapes for the Second Flight wines are harvested by hand, processed very gently and fermented in a cool place. This is where wines are created that are real seducers - here you don't think twice about opening the second bottle after the first one. We stand by fruit - stimulating, juicy and never filling.

Great top wines from the Bullenheimer paradise - my home. With a lot of power, energy and passion, we do our best every day to be able to harvest highly aromatic, fully ripe and one hundred percent healthy grapes in autumn. I am incredibly grateful that nature gives us grapes every year and I therefore think it is extremely important to pay attention - so that the next 11 generations also have the opportunity to grow wine in our paradise. A location that gives a lot of space for the root system of the vine with deep Gipskeuper soil. The location has always stood for its great potential and harmony with the Scheurebe. Precisely because of the special soil formation and the unique microclimate in the southern Steigerwald, we can bring particularly spicy-fruity and profound nose wines into the glass here. My First Flight wines are wines that you can think about - about yourself, your life and God & the world.
