LUKAS SCHMIDT First Flight®
The First Flight® wines represent our great visions and the conviction that we can achieve anything in life. By using particularly old vines that have deep roots in the rock and reducing the yield by more than 50%, we produce berries with an exceptional concentration of flavor and minerals. The wines, some of which are matured in wooden barrels, unfold in the glass like a cloak that is gently dropped. A true revelation during deep conversations about great visions and the next step.

An exceptional wine. As a newly certified master winemaker, I earned the distinction of being one of the best of the vintage with Meisterschluck® No. 1. The first milestone in a story that continues to shape me to this day. Back then, I was a young winemaker, having just joined the family winery, which had been in business for eleven generations. My goal was clear: to create an international white wine that could compete with the biggest names in the world.
