Weingut Lukas Schmidt
Lukas Schmidt Wein's home is Ippenheim/Bullenheim in Franconia. The Bullenheimer Paradies is the largest single vineyard in Middle Franconia. The winery has old vineyards here facing south and with a 50% slope. The best conditions for great wines! Old wines, estate wines, grape varieties and vineyard wines are produced. The latter are spontaneously fermented, stored on the fine yeast for at least six months and bottled in the classic Bocksbeutel. A recommended estate wine is the "Best of Bacchus". A fine, fruity, juicy wine with notes of blackcurrant, apples and blood orange as well as nuances of nutmeg and honeydew melon. It gets its rich melt from the two to three months of aging on the fine yeast. A wonderful accompaniment to cheese, spicy starters or white meat.
Lukas Schmidt about his passion
Incredible! More than half a millennium. Wine for 11 generations here at our winery in Bullenheim. It is a great honor for me to carry on this legacy. Growing up with wine in your blood is something very special.
I was able to enjoy a very good education in the best wine regions in the world. In southern Styria and South Tyrol I learned how complex and exciting the world of aromatic grape varieties can be. In Bullenheimer Paradies – my home – the best Scheurebe grapes have been growing for decades. Today I can harvest great grapes from vines that grandpa planted with his hands. Wow!
Lukas Schmidt Wein stands for unique aromatic grape varieties – Scheurebe, Muscat & Riesling – that are fun! Complex, juicy, spicy – great! Immerse yourself with me in the wonderful world of nose wines.
